Biography
Amanda N. Tolbert is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication at the University of Illinois. She received her B.A. (2016) and M.A. (2018) in Emerging Media and Communication from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Research Interests
Amanda's research investigates partisan prejudice and stereotyping in digital media contexts (e.g., social media, online news). She is interested in how the use of moral discourse defines the boundaries of partisan social identities and contributes to processes of partisan affective polarization.
